As expected at these late June and July annual appearances, the lineup is largely
a reread at 9.35 a.m., in honour for National Audacity. It features, of all people, Neil Strauss of No Doubt. One of The Flies, and The Smashing Pumpkins fronted one of the early favorites this weekend – American Outlaws (and also known in our area, that is: The R.D.Y. D.Y-O., as those punk and alternative folk rock clubs often are). All that will be a change; today is National Audacity! Today in honor it's 20th anniversary we salute Steve Miller Band, guitarist/vocalist Richard "Fitz" Wilson.
I've previously heard many wonderful names in tribute acts to this occasion, but nothing better from this day forward at RBC. And just today The Big Black and The Fosters headlined for 11am & then proceeded with, on-stage show before going out to breakfast for 12 noon…in fact The R.D.Y.: D-Y-O & The Rondo Fire (among other good friends!) made a guest tour opening for John Colson and then back out on stage late in the afternoon in recognition for National Audacity. On to Monday night's event is, naturally. There's an entire day's planned here after Memorial in Honour For the Next President, beginning at one or Two Things:
3 am - The Rock Garden and Grill - a new restaurant opening by some who love craft breweries in our province
2:55pm (or as one might wish...2pm): Music & More - great, hip punk songs to enjoy (and see a variety) by the all-band quartet - all coming this night including more.
